The steel grating's "length" refers to the longitudinal direction of bearing bar,while "width" refers to the dimension measured along cross-bar direction (usually it is twisted square steel).This must be understood strictly and clearly when ordering.The double ends in length direction of steel grating should have support,i.e.,laid beam or laid board,while the double ends in width direction don't need supporting.For example,the flute width of drainage trench is generally the length of steel grating (including laid length needed),while longitudinal direction around trench is width of steel grating.
